Seminar
The potential relationships between teaching with technologies and higher order cognitive skills improvement: discussing the two intervening variables
Tony Carr
Mon 13 Feb 12:30 - 14:00 Ched Boardroom

The question of whether the use of technologies for teaching and learning improves students' higher order cognitive skills, continues to be asked but answers are usually either vague or empirically less grounded. The reason for the failure to address this question is largely because the question is wrongly asked. In this seminar, Prof Mbarika, will explore the two intervening variables in the question and rephrase the question to obtain pedagogically insightful answers.

Professor Victor Mbarika is an Alumnae Endowed Professor at Southern University and A&M College, and is the President of the ICT University. He is a Visiting Professor at UCT hosted by the Centre for Educational Technology (CET). For his detailed profile please visit: http://www.mbarika.com and http://www.vmbarika.com
